About Jessica

Jessica Patton grew up in a small town in Alberta, Canada. She moved to middle Tennessee to pursue her music career which is still a massive part of her life, especially on weekends where she can be found entertaining the masses as a tourist attraction on Lower Broadway in Nashville, TN.

Jessica has always been a cat lover and has been a cat mom for 20+ years. She also has four amazing kids, an incredible husband, four step-kiddos and two step-grand babies and is certified as a Clovis Health Coach.

In 2013, Jessica adopted a pair of Tonkinese kittens and named them Brooklyn & Bronx.

In May of 2018, Jessica and her whole family had to sit in the examination room as they were told that their beloved Bronx's bloodwork was coming back off the readable charts for multiple levels of toxicity. They heard the words, "There is nothing we can do." And the tears started flowing as reality set in. Her husband literally had to go across the street to The Home Depot to purchase a shovel so that they would even be able to properly bury their sweet boy 😪...

This particular breed truly thrives in pairs so they immediately started their search for a Tonk to cheer up Brooklyn - who spent the next three months looking dejected, hiding in the closet & only coming out to eat.

Enter Dodger! All thoughts of sickness left their minds as they fell in love with this crazy goofball.

THEN, they simply could not believe it when 18 short months later, Dodger, fell ill WITH THE SAME THING BRONX HAD DIED OF!!! This is when Jessica first met Dr. Catrina Herd and learned about Feline Idiopathic Cystitis and urinary tract issues in our pets. Dr. Herd was incredible and even did a Telehealth appointment for Dodger so as not to add stress to his precarious condition. Jessica felt right then and there that this was going to turn into a meaningful relationship.

She immediately began researching, staying up all night, joining Facebook groups and talking to every vet she could find, reading study after study and experimenting with endless combinations of supplements and herbs. She spent every waking minute worrying and praying that something would work. THEN on the third day of his eating one of the concoctions she had come up with, Dodger turned a corner!

Dodger has been symptom free since that day!!!  After going through all of this herself, she decided to condense everything she had learned into a groundbreaking ebook and a supplement to support pet urinary tracts naturally.

This is where the incredible Dr. Catrina Herd came in. As Jessica started sharing her findings, she was met with great skepticism until her old friend, Dr. Herd listened to her story and dug into her ingredients. "Having Dr. Herd join support our cause was the catalyst we needed to be able to truly change the lives of pet owners everywhere! She lends credibility and her wealth of knowledge to our amazing product and we cannot wait to get it into the paws of every pet owner in the world!"

About Dr. Herd

Dr. Catrina Herd graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. A native of east Tennessee, Dr. Herd moved to the Nashville area that same year. Her first son, Spencer, was born in 2008. Shortly after, she became the full-time veterinarian for Williamson County Animal Control.

In December 2009, Dr. Herd took a position with Animal House Veterinary Clinic. Less than two years later, in April 2011, she purchased the clinic (and as of 2019 she is 100% owner)! Then in April of 2014 her youngest son, Holden, was born.

Dr. Herd is known for her thoroughness, excellent diagnostic skills, and great bedside manner. Her patients love her even if they don’t love going to the doctor! She has the heart of a teacher, and loves the days when she can teach a young veterinarian or a technician something they didn’t know.

She gives many of her free hours to help with animal rescue and is always willing to go above and beyond for a sick animal.

Part of her willingness to go the extra mile included offering Jessica an online appointment for Dodger because she recognized that stress is the leading cause of urinary issues in cats and wanted to ensure that Dodger didn't have a car trip to stack on top of his worries.

Dr. Herd runs a charity called Second Chance that helps pet owners be able to afford life saving surgeries for their animals and veterinarians with mental healthcare and student loan relief.

In the summer of 2022, her big heart was touched by what Jessica Patton of Jenesis Pets was attempting to do in order to support animals with urinary troubles, worldwide and without hesitation, she dove in headlong to join the battle against urinary tract issues.

In her spare time, Dr. Herd enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin on the lake, or at the beach… any beach… just give her a beach and she will be happy!
